Some people build businesses. Others build communities. Brandon M Phillips does both.

More than just an entrepreneur, Brandon is a visionary someone who sees opportunities where others see obstacles. As the founder of La Chow, Baltimore’s premier culinary incubator, and FutureThink Hub Inc, a nonprofit tackling major social issues, his work is a testament to what happens when innovation meets purpose.

A Hustler from Day One

Brandon’s entrepreneurial instincts kicked in early. While still a freshman at Morgan State University, he launched his first LLC and partnered with Toshiba to provide computers to the university’s honors department. That first taste of business success wasn’t just luck it was a preview of the bold and strategic mindset that would define his career.

After earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Morgan State and a Master’s in Business Management (Finance) from the University of Maryland Global Campus, Brandon was ready to take on bigger challenges not just in business, but in the community.

La Chow: More Than a Kitchen, A Launchpad for Entrepreneurs

With La Chow, Brandon took an abandoned university campus and turned it into a thriving hub for food entrepreneurs. It’s not just about renting kitchen space it’s about giving aspiring chefs and food businesses the tools, mentorship, and resources to turn dreams into reality. Under his leadership, La Chow has become a launchpad for Baltimore’s next wave of culinary innovators.

FutureThink Hub: Solving Problems, Changing Lives

But Brandon didn’t stop at business he wanted to create real, lasting change. With FutureThink Hub, he’s tackling issues like food insecurity, youth reentry, and mental health. The nonprofit provides hands-on support, from job training to community events that uplift those in need. This isn’t charity it’s empowerment.

His work has already made an undeniable impact:

103 mentees personally coached

Over 6 million pounds of food distributed

$18 million worth of groceries donated in MD, DC, and VA

A Powerhouse in Philanthropy

In 2024, Brandon teamed up with Tanya Whitaker, and together, they set (and smashed) an ambitious goal: Providing 10,000 kids with Christmas gifts. Their Annual Turkey Feast brought together top chefs to serve gourmet Thanksgiving meals to families in need.

The numbers speak for themselves:

50,000+ people served

Massive food distribution across the region

A lasting impact on countless families

Brandon’s Legacy: The Future is What You Make It

Brandon doesn’t just talk about success he builds it. Whether he’s mentoring the next generation, launching community programs, or standing on stage inspiring others, one message rings clear:

“The future doesn’t just happen it’s built by the choices we make today.”

Brandon M Phillips is proof that business and social impact can go hand in hand and that real change starts with bold action.
