Anaheim Jewelry Store Owner Prevents Smash-and-Grab Robbery with Single Warning Shot Attorney Mo Abuershaid Retained as Legal Counsel

/ Globe PR Wire /

Anaheim, California — On the evening of July 17, 2025, a group of approximately twenty masked individuals attempted a violent smash-and-grab robbery at Al-Amira Jewelry, a family-owned business located in Anaheim. Armed with sledgehammers and pickaxes, the assailants targeted the storefront shortly before closing time. Surveillance footage confirms the suspects began shattering the glass entrance before being driven off by a single warning shot fired by the store’s owner. No injuries were reported, and all suspects fled the scene in multiple vehicles.

Attorney Mohammad “Mo” Abuershaid of ALL Trial Lawyers has been retained to represent the store owner. Mr. Abuershaid issued a statement emphasizing that the firearm was lawfully discharged in a controlled, non-lethal manner in response to a credible and immediate threat to life and safety. The shot was not directed at any individual and served only to deter further violence.

“This was a terrifying and targeted attack,” said Mr. Abuershaid. “The store owner acted to protect not only himself, but also his family and employees, all of whom were present during the attempted robbery. His response was measured, legal, and effective in preventing what could have become a far more dangerous situation.”
